Janey Hollis is an emerging artist from birmingham, Alabama primarily focused in glass. Although she has pursued creative endeavors throughout her life, Janey discovered a passion for glass in college at tulane university and has been hooked ever since. She has worked with numerous glass artists during her time in New Orleans and has furthered her skill as a student in multiple courses at Penland School of Craft. Janey recently relocated to Star, North Carolina to Build hEr skill as an Production glassblower at STARworks Center for Creative Enterprise. She is currently exploring new ways to approach glass as a sculptural medium as well as sharing her playful functional ware through her online shop.
